It can be used to modify the UVs of already textured models. The textures are adjusted according to the UV changes so that they remain valid. This allows details to be added later and several models to be merged together.
UV-Remap is not an unwrapping software and individual UV vertices cannot be manipulated. It's about transforming existing UV islands together with existing textures.

The software was recently released and bugs may occur. If you encounter any bugs, please report them here.
-
Due to UV-Remap's beta status, the input and output formats are limited. The FBX format is used for models and the PNG image format is used for textures. Models cannot have polygons with more than 4 vertices.
-
Normal maps can also be used with UV-Remap. World space and object space normal maps are treated like any other textures, while tangent space normal maps must be marked in the program. Then, during baking, the tangent space normal maps are adjusted accordingly so that they fit the resulting UV spaces.

UV-Remap is currently only available for 64 bit Windows computers. In addition, a graphics card that supports OpenGL 3.3 is required.

After installation you need an internet connection to activate the license key. The software then validates the license every seven days. In the meantime, you can use the software without an internet connection.
